Welcome to the 21th IAMB conference of the International Academy of Management and Business that took place on May 18-20, 2016 at the University of Quebec at Montreal (UQAM), Montreal, Canada.
The conference provided a platform for professionals, practitioners, academics, educators and researchers in the various fields of management and business to disseminate and share the latest research, knowledge and experiences. The conference hosted scholars from over 28 countries around the world, covering academic institutions and businesses. The friendly atmosphere, the one on one opportunity for exchange and networking, and the multi-national exposure were cited among the top benefits from conference attendees. Each submitted abstract/paper is peer reviewed and only accepted abstracts/papers were presented. Selected manuscripts will be published in the official journal of IAMB, the International Journal of Management and Business, IJMB.
Best Manuscripts Competition
I would like to congratulate this year’s scholars who submitted their manuscripts for the best papers competition in four major categories. In each category the manuscripts were peer reviewed (blindly) by 4-5judges. The winners were announced at the conference and were awarded official certificates. The followings are the winners in each category:
Best Student Manuscript: Tian Zeng and Myriam Ertz, University of Quebec at Montreal, School of Management, Montreal, Canada
Best Young Scholar manuscript: Tonja Blom, University of South Africa, Graduate School of Business Leadership, Johannesburg, South Africa
Best Applied Manuscript: Nicole Jackson, Isabelle Lescent-Giles, University of Connecticut, Department of Management, Stamford, Connecticut and University of San Francisco, School of Management, San Francisco, California.
Our goal is to bring scholars from various fields of management and facilitate meaningful interactions. Hopefully this will lead to professional development opportunities for scholars and practitioners in management and business. IAMB fosters a small conference setting (under 200 participants) with multi-national delegates.
